One of the best ways to express ideals and connect with others is through music. So, a dozen NYC Guitar School teachers and I have decided to build our city one song at a time by teaching people how to play “Songs of Justice and Freedom”–songs which exemplify hope and freedom, like “City of Immigrants” by Steve Earle, “This Land Is Your Land, This Land Is My Land” by Woody Guthrie, “Redemption Songs” by Bob Marley and “Give Peace A Chance” by John Lennon.
These one hour workshops will be taught in the next two weeks over all our locations, and the $10 workshop fee will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Please register below to join us in learning and singing together Songs of Justice. Bring your friends, bring your family–and then bring the songs home to your family, friends and community.
