Home Madeline Johnson
Madeline is a vocalist and educator based out of Brooklyn, NY. She developed her love of singing and performing as a child in school choir and community theatre. She later trained as a classical soprano, and also specializes in musical theatre, singer-songwriter, pop, and folk vocal styles.
Madeline received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Western Carolina University. After graduating she became a Chorus and Orchestra Director at a public middle school, where her students received superior ratings at state festivals and were accepted into regional and state honors ensembles. She simultaneously worked as an intern at Echo Mountain Recording in Asheville, NC, and became active in regional community theatres, working as both a performer and musical director.
After relocating to NYC in 2018, she took on the position of Student Experience Coordinator at NYC Guitar School. Today she continues to work as an SEC at our Midtown location (come say hi!), while also working as a vocal teacher. At the desk she strives to assist NYCGS students with a smile on her face, and in the classroom she uses that positive attitude to encourage students towards new musical heights!
