Learn the very basics of guitar playing for TOTAL, ABSOLUTE and COMPLETE beginners in this free beginners guitar workshop meetup. You don’t even have to bring a guitar–guitars are provided!

After this meetup you will know your first chords, how to hold and strum a guitar, how to identify strings and fingers, how to read chord charts…and PLAYING YOUR FIRST SONG!

Location: NYC Guitar School, 251 West 30th Street, 7th Floor between 7th and 8th Avenue. Please arrive on time so you don’t miss out on important initial techniques needed for the remaining class.

Your super friendly teacher, Josh, will show you:

–How to find your way around a guitar.
–The 2 most common guitar chords, how to play them and (most valuable) how to change between them.
–The secret to successful guitar practice.
–Playing along with an actual song! (You will walk out being able to play a real song.)
