Lauren Stockner is a Brooklyn based guitarist and bassist with over 15 years of experience playing guitar and 5 years of experience playing bass under her belt. Lauren plays all styles of music with a focus on rock,?blues, classic rock, and pop. Her main guitar influences are Dean Deleo, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Jerry Cantrell, John Frusciante, Mike Einziger, Duanne Allman, Dickey Betts, and George Harrison while her bass influences are comprised of John Paul Jones, Robert Deleo, Paul McCartney, and Flea.
Some of the many notable venues that Lauren has performed at included Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (New York, NY), Caesar’s Palace (Atlantic City), House Of Blues (Los Angeles), Mercury Lounge (New York), and Music Hall of Williamsburg (Brooklyn, NY).
Lauren is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music with a degree in Guitar Performance and has been teaching music for over 6 years.?While at Berklee, she received the Aerosmith Award, a scholarship for exceptional performers who were also in the music business program. In April of 2008, footage of her performance of ?She?s A Woman? by Jeff Beck (though the song is a Beatles cover) from her last Berklee recital was featured in a digital monument to Jeff Beck for the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. After graduating, Lauren relocated to Brooklyn which has led to her backing up local singer songwriters and touring the east coast, midwest, and west coast.
