Sign Up for Kids Guitar Club or Teen Guitar Ensemble at NYC Guitar School
Playing music together is one of the best parts of learning guitar! Our Kids Guitar Club (ages 8–11) and Teen Guitar Ensemble (ages 12–16) are fun, low-pressure group programs where students jam on songs with their peers, build confidence, and perform seasonally.
Because these ensembles are designed for intermediate players, new students start with a one-on-one trial lesson/evaluation to make sure they’re ready.
What to Expect:
- Kids (8–11): Students should be able to play and switch between open chords like C, G, D and Em while strumming in basic rhythm.
- Teens (12–16): Students should be comfortable with the open chords, mixed strumming patterns, and be able to keep up with a group.
- Advanced Students: If you’re already playing beyond this level, our teacher may recommend joining one of our advanced Rock Bands.
The evaluation lesson is also a chance for the teacher to get to know the student and recommend the best path forward.
Cost and Next Steps:
- Trial Lesson Fee: $50
- Post-Trial Options: If the student is ready, we’ll recommend enrolling directly into Kids Guitar Club or Teen Guitar Ensemble. If more preparation is needed, private lessons are available to build skills until ready.
- Membership: Ensemble membership is $149 per month.urther details will be included in your confirmation email.
