Start 2021 with a musical and meditative experience to say goodbye to 2020 and set your intentions for a new year of music, peace and growth.
Join NYC Guitar School vocal teacher Daisy Press for a beginning-of-the-year vocal meditation during which we will use breathwork, meditation, and our own voices to sort some things out in our psyches! In this hour-long guided ceremony, we will identify and give thanks for the wild unexpected gifts that 2020 bestowed upon us, let go of some things we’d like to leave behind, and visualize specific goals and targets that will inspire, focus, and keep us on track in the coming year.
If you are a human you have a voice and if you have a voice you are welcome to participate! All singing will be slow, repetitive, and in a call-and-response format. You’ll be given an ambient mp3 to download and play at home to make your experience at home even better. Most of the ceremony will be performed with all participants on mute in the privacy of their own homes, but there will be a chance to share afterwards with each other at the end.
Come in comfy clothing, have paper and pen nearby for reflections and intentions, and prepare yourself for a beautiful experience with your own voice. The event begins on Zoom at 1:11pm, on the 1st day of 2021!
