Teens Virtual Rock Band

All the joy of rock band is now virtual! Collaborate, practice, and record songs as a band under the guidance of our expert instructors! This 8 week class uses the web based online music studio, Soundtrap as well as a virtual classroom! FREE Soundtrap account included in your registration. For: guitarists, bassists, drummers, vocalists and keyboard players with some experience on their instrument. Bands are grouped by age, level, and musical instrument. Registration for this class requires an interview/audition. Don't worry! We are super friendly and supportive, we just want to make sure we put you in the right band! Collaborate, practice, and record songs as a band using the web based online music studio “Soundtrap” as well as a virtual classroom! FREE Soundtrap account included in your registration. For: guitarists, bassists, drummers, vocalists and keyboard players with some experience on their instrument. Bands are grouped by age, level, and musical instrument. Requirements: No prior band experience required. Students should have some experience on their instrument and be able to play along with recordings of songs they have learned.

Teens Collaborative Songwriting Band 101

(For ages 12-14) Teen Collaborative Songwriting Band 101 is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students new to songwriting to tap into their creative minds, collaborate with their peers, and develop their unique talents in a band focused on creating original music. In this 8 week class students will learn about a variety of songwriting techniques such as rhyme scheme, song form, how to create chord progressions, using imagery and symbolism in lyrics, and so much more, all while workshopping ideas and inspiring each other in a supportive environment of fellow writers. Bands will collaborate to write, play, and record their own complete original songs! Requirements: No prior songwriting experience needed! Students should have some experience on their instrument and be comfortable enough singing and/or playing in time to communicate song ideas to the group.

Teens Collaborative Songwriting Band

(For ages 15-17) Teens Collaborative Songwriting Band is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for vocalists and instrumental writers of all styles to tap into their creative minds, collaborate with their peers, and further develop their unique talents in a band just for songwriters. In this 8 week class students will learn about a variety of songwriting techniques such as concept writing, improvisation, rhyme scheme, song form, and so much more, all while workshopping ideas in a supportive environment of fellow writers. Bands will then collaborate to write, play, and record their own complete original songs! Registration for this class requires an interview/audition. Don't worry! In this 8 week class you will learn the basics of music production and digital songwriting using the digital audio workstation LOGIC. Get group and one-on-one coaching from an expert instructor. Share projects, deepen your understanding of tracking, mixing and effects, and record your own original songs!
