Private Lessons
Q: Where will my lessons be located?
A: Private lessons are available in your Manhattan home or office or at our studio in the
Recording and Rehearsal Arts Building at 251 West 30th Street. Lessons are 45 minutes long.
Q: How do private lessons work?
A: The first step is to set up a trial lesson. Call or e-mail our friendly staff (at 646-485-7244 or info@nycguitarschool.com). We'll ask you about your experience and interests and suggest one of our expert teachers for a single, no-obligation trial lesson.
Q: How much is tuition?
A:The trial lesson is available for $60 (or $40 Mon-Fri in our studio from 10:00 am to 3:45 pm). After the trial you can continue with individual lessons at $80 per lesson, however most of our students take advantage of our discounted blocks of ten lessons:
Ten lessons at our studio=$635 (20% discount)
Ten lessons at your home or office=$585 (25% discount)
Ten studio WEEKEND lessons=$535(30% discount)
Ten studio WEEKDAY lessons 10am-4pm=$435 (45% discount)
Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
Q: What if I'm a complete beginner?
A: Don't worry! Our teachers are patient and supportive, and we have a top notch curriculum to help beginners gently achieve confidence and competence.
Q: Do I need to bring my guitar to the school?
A: You are welcome to bring your guitar, but you do not need to. Guitars are available for the use of students during the lessons.
Q: Can I take lessons with a friend?
A: Yes! Experience extra motivation and fun by learning together with a
friend for only an extra $90 per set of 10 lessons.
Q: What if I don't have a guitar?
A: Economical guitar rentals are available.
Q: Do you have gift certificates?
A: Yes! Attractive gift certificates are available for any number of lessons.
