The surf and rockabilly guitarists of the late '50s and early '60s were the first rock musicians to put lead guitar center stage. Early rockabilly rebels like Carl Perkins, Duane Eddy, and Scotty Moore alongside surf rock legends like The Ventures and Dick Dale pioneered many techniques that laid the foundation of rock and roll guitar and learning them is essential no matter what style you play. In this class you'll put on your "Blue Suede Shoes" "Rock Around the Clock," surf the "Pipeline" and try not to "Wipeout" while mastering double stops, tremolo picking, reverb, and slap-back echo.
