CBGB closed last year, but the spirit lives on.
With a DIY attitude and plenty to rebel against (including hippies, disco, and arena rock), the punk movement changed the face of music and the world in general.
From three-chord wonders to more complex forms, you'll be learn songs by the first generation NY bands and their English cousins, including but not limited to The Ramones, Television, Talking Heads, Clash, Buzzcocks, Sex Pistols.
Knowledge of barre chords and tab reading are necessary.
