John Kengla

NYC Guitar School is beyond excited to welcome this amazing teacher! In October of 2007, John relocated from Columbus, Ohio to Brooklyn to pursue both music and life. He graduated from Capital University in Columbus in 2002 with a degree in Jazz Studies and was asked to join their conservatory faculty a year later! In addition to playing a great number of gigs with a myriad of bands, he was the lead guitarist for the 2co's/Shadowbox Cabaret Theatre, played aboard a Carnival Cruise ship, and toured the country several times over with the Ohio-based rock band Red Wanting Blue.

He is a patient, encouraging, and inspiring teacher who has been teaching both classes and private lessons since 2001.
