Jeff Scull

Inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, John Petrucci, and Steve Vai, NYC Guitar School teacher Jeff Scull picked up a guitar at the age of 14 and began practicing relentlessly! In high school he performed with his rock band at school dances, public events, and even a couple clubs. Jeff also joined the jazz band, won several soloist awards and was awarded a music scholarship to the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. There he immersed himself in the Philadelphia jazz scene while studying with internationally recognized guitarist Jimmy Bruno and studying and even playing with Pat Martino. At graduation, Jeff received The University of the Arts Guitar Department Award.

After graduating, Jeff played in fusion and funk bands for several years. He also became a sought after guitar teacher, working with as many as 50 private students a week! In 2007, Jeff went received his graduate degree from The University of the Arts, where he coached freshmen improvisation ensambles and won the coveted Jazz Master Award. We are delighted to welcome such an outstanding guitarist and dedicated and gifted teacher to NYC Guitar School. Jeff teaches a wide range of styles and can help anyone from beginner to pro.
