Jaime Garamella

Jaime grew up in western Connecticut, where he was inspired to play guitar after watching Nirvana Unplugged on MTV. He lived in Chapel Hill, North Carolina for several years, touring in blues, country, and southern rock bands. He then studied songwriting and music production, as well as guitar and voice, at Berklee College of Music. Jaime currently performs as a singer/songwriter and with his band, The Spanish Channel, in the New York City area. He is also a tenor in the New York Choral Society.

Jaime has taught guitar since 2001, and enjoys helping beginning students leap the hurdles of playing. He also likes to incorporate singing into lessons. Students are often surprised to find they really can sing when they thought they couldn't. Jaime specializes in pop/rock, country, and blues, and has a weakness for cookie dough ice cream.
