Brett Parnell
Brett comes to NYC Guitar School after receiving his masters from Yale University, where he studied guitar with Benjamin Verdery.
Brett was first taught to play guitar by his brother David, who really just needed a rhythm guitarist to play with so he could solo all day.
Branching out through many different styles, Brett was eventually introduced to classical--which he quickly fell in love with. This new obsession
led Brett to win the North Carolina Music Teachers Association Competition for Guitar as well as becoming a finalist in the East Carolina University
Summer Guitar Competition.
Recent accomplishments include master classes with John Williams and Roland Dyens, as well as a recording with Geremy Schulick, as part of
THREE FIFTY, a classical guitar duo.
