Austin Mendenhall
We are excited to welcome Austin to the teaching staff of New York City Guitar School! Austin plays, writes, records, sings, and teaches with incredible
enthusiasm.
Is he on fire? Yes he is! Austin took up guitar at age 13, recorded an album within two years,
and hit the road on his first national tour by the age of 17. He attained a thorough jazz education at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, and later continued his jazz studies at Shenandoah Conservatory and
George Mason University. By age 20, Mendenhall had signed with his first record label. Now 25, he's recorded FIVE professional albums and is still
relentlessly honing his skills.
Austin's listeners love his expansive repertoire, his exquisite technique, and his desire to conquer new musical frontiers.
His students love his ability to instruct in a variety of styles, his massive enthusiasm, and the way he focuses on their individual needs. Austin is expert
teaching all styles and all ages, and we're just crazy about him!
