Alex Feder

Originally a drummer, Alex Feder started teaching himself guitar at the age of 13. Since graduating from NYU's Jazz Performance program, Alex has embarked on several nationwide tours with his rock band, The XYZ Affair, as well as playing on a handful of European tours in Greece, Austria, and Moscow with NYC funk mainstay the Milo Z band! Although he studied jazz at NYU with Mordy Ferber, John Scofield, and Bruce Arnold, his specialties remain those styles that originally attracted him to the guitar: rock, funk and soul. His obsession with music is matched only by his passion for passing on this obsession to other people. Whether you want to learn in-depth guitar theory and ear training or just want to learn how to play your favorite song note for note, Alex will patiently and creatively target the best way to teach you anything you could ever want to learn on the guitar.
